Food Fit Program

CAS defines “food fit” as the condition of maintaining an effective and balanced relationship with eating high-quality meals that deliciously benefit our health. Our program helps the elderly, disabled, and ill combat loss of appetite, nutrient-poor diet, and excess weight loss/gain.

We offer:

  • Access and guidance toward food banks, SNAP benefits, and other meal assistance services (ask about a free Food Giveaway that’s hosted weekly by The Reid Foundation for the community or click here to learn more)
  • Nutritional & medical consultation for you and your family
  • Customized meal plans based on diets and restrictions
  • Personalized shopping and cooking services

Is It Right For You?

With age and injury, cooking and eating may become a difficult chore instead of what was once a cherished daily activity. You should inquire about our program if you or someone you know is:

  • Homebound and struggle to cook, eat, or grocery shop independently
  • Living with a severe disability or disease
  • Already receiving skilled nursing or long-term care from another agency
  • Seeking home health care services

Why It Matters

Maintaining a healthy metabolism is a very important part of life. Even more so, when the body is hindered by disease, age, or disability. Not having consistent access to nutritional food puts you or your loved ones at risk. The Food Fit Program benefits members through:

  • Weight & diet management
  • Balanced nutritional meals
  • Vitamin/Mineral wellness & support
